Dear fellow SCL members,

Another year is upon us and I’ve been asked to write the foreword for the first newsletter for 2020.

2020 looks set to be another activity filled year for SCL Singapore. Kicking off the year was the traditionally “full house” Annual Construction Law Update, 2020 held on 22 January 2020 where we had the privilege of having Christopher Chuah of WongPartnership and Kelvin Aw of CMS Holborn Asia give us a very insightful updates on the legal landscape in the construction industry over 2019.

We look towards no less than 10 events in the upcoming year including seminars, networking events and our annual construction law conference. It is always the aim of Council to provide a broad range of opportunities for our members to further their professional development as well as to allow fruitful networking opportunities for members to connect with other stakeholders in the construction fraternity. We are confident that the 2020 calendar promises to do just that.

As always, none of this will be possible without the continued support of our members. Council will seek to continue to deliver good value in terms of the diversity and content of the various events and services.
